Locate in Kent was supported by Business Link Kent, in bringing Cabot Financial (Europe) Limited to Kent in 1998. The company is the market leader in consumer debt purchase in the UK, acquiring portfolios from the biggest consumer banks in the UK. Cabot is located at Kings Hill, West Malling and its contact centre is an excellent example of why Kent is such a good location for financial services companies.

Cabot was recently awarded South East 'Business of the Year' and 'Employer of the Year' at the regional heats of the Orange National Business Awards and was runner-up for the UK award in both categories.

In 2006, the fast-growing finance company reconfirmed its commitment to stay in Kent, after looking at the possibility of alternative UK sites and offshoring. Cabot moved into specially commissioned, larger building at Kings Hill in August 2007, which will enable the company to grow from its present employee base of 350 to a workforce of 600.
