CONCUR

Concur relocated its receipt auditing facility from London to Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne in 2008. The company was looking for new premises to house staff, which, on behalf of clients, scans receipts and audit expense claims onto its expense management system.

After searching on Locate in Kent’s dedicated property website www.commercialpropertykent.com, the company was taken on tours of suitable Kent sites by the agency.

Since then the company has enjoyed consistent growth and has extended the range of services available to its clients and subsequently increased the number of people it employs at Kent Science Park by 72 per cent. It now plans to increase its head count by up to 25 per cent during the 2012-2013 financial year – a move that will more than double Concur’s original workforce.

Concur has more than 15,000 customers in more than 100 countries and last year, its Sittingbourne office processed more than six million expense receipts.

Keith Simson, Services Director, EMEA at Concur, said: “Our Sittingbourne office has grown into one of Concur’s three key validation centres globally. In addition to helping companies in EMEA and across the globe manage expense audits, the team here specialises in research and development, human resources, auditing, relationship management and implementation.

“We are delighted to be in a position to add to our experienced Kent team in the coming year. We strive to continue our commitment to employing local people, who we have found to be friendly, reliable and possessed of a great work ethic.”
