Established in the late 1800s, the company then merged with AVO (Amps, Volts and Ohms) in the 1960s, and relocated from London to Kent.
Megger products have supported customers all over the world to improve their facilities’ efficiency, reduce costs, extend the life of apparatus and through trending and analysis, anticipate equipment failure and future performance.
In addition to its Dover operation, Megger has manufacturing plants in Germany, Sweden, and the USA, with technical support teams and distributors all over the world.
As well as designing and manufacturing hand-held test equipment, larger insulation testers, oil test equipment and low resistance ohmmeters in Dover, it is also a sales and technical support office for the company.
Megger recently scooped an award at the Electrical Industry Awards 2014. The company’s NIM1000 network impedance meter was named Innovative Industrial Product of the Year at the industry’s annual awards ceremony. The company’s PAT150 portable appliance tester was also a finalist in the category for Innovative Test and Measurement Product of the Year.
