David spent over 25 years at BP, before leaving in 2004. Between 2005 and 2009 he was Chief Executive of Novera Energy plc, a UK renewables company.
David is currently a Director of Dana Petroleum and of Permasense Limited. He is also on the Strategic Advisory Board of Braemar Energy Ventures, and is a Governor of Skinners Kent Academy in Tunbridge Wells.
Overseeing the strategy of Locate in Kent since 1999, Paul has many years of experience ensuring the team delivers on its promises. As well as future strategy, a key role is the development and maintenance of good relationships with partners and stakeholders. Paul’s business knowledge and enthusiasm for the county have helped countless numbers of companies locate in Kent.

Director of Business Development
Following 20 years experience in the manufacturing (packaging) sector, Peter joined Locate in Kent in 2004 leading the Business Development team in engaging with clients, identifying their needs and successfully securing their investment in Kent and Medway. Peter also oversees the aftercare programme.
With previous experience in international business he has helped to attract a wide range of businesses to Kent and Medway and has a particular interest in the manufacturing and offshore wind sectors.

Responsible for the day-to-day job of promoting Kent as a business location, Mandy has more than 30 years’ experience of location marketing and delivering campaigns for Kent.
Experienced in economic development, placemaking, inward investment and tourism, Mandy also manages the team that delivers market research and bespoke research for clients and partners.
She also manages the Kent Developers Group and Locate in Kent’s partnership initiatives.

Business Development Manager
Focusing on national and international client and project management, Chris works across the Locate in Kent portfolio, with a particular focus on the life science sector and business development/lead generation in the US.
His nine years in the role mean Chris has established a strong network of professional intermediaries and industry contacts, an in-depth knowledge of Kent’s property market and financial incentives available to businesses.
Previous roles have included the management of serviced offices, giving him hands-on experience of the needs of small businesses.

After 15 years at Locate in Kent, Philip has worked with more than 4,000 companies, listening to their ideas and finding out what they need.
Focussing on contact and customer liaison, he attends exhibitions and events, developing a network of contacts to ensure the right suppliers are introduced to contacts.

The newest member of the team, Emily ensures the commercial property database is up-to-date, liaising with agents and helping all members of the team to keep on top of the current market.
Her previous roles in consultancy have given Emily wide experience in project management, a skill she puts to good use by keeping a close eye on the facilities available and which firms might make the best use of them.
