Almost 160 homes will become available to buy at Dalefield Way, Gravesend next month, following planning permission being approved in April.
The site, owned by Bellway Kent, includes a range of 156 two, three and four-bedroom houses and flats.
As part of the planning agreement Bellway will be making a number of financial contributions totalling over £63,000 to the community.
Managing director for Bellway Kent, Chris Moore, said they already had a “large database of interested parties” in the properties.
He continued to say that “The transport links and connectivity of the site has resulted in a significant percentage of our inquiries to date coming from professionals, commuters and families. The broad range of house types we are able to provide at Dalefield makes the development an attractive option for many prospective buyers.
“It’s also incredible value for money compared to house prices in the capital and London suburbs, but St Pancras is less than 30 minutes away. It really is the best of both worlds.”
Nationally over the past year the number of completed new homes has risen by 6%, with building on more than 144,000 beginning during the first six months of 2016.
Mr Moore said: “People are starting to recognise the benefits of buying a new build home. Maintenance costs are much cheaper and home owners can make a big saving on their energy bills.
“With schemes like Help to Buy and Part Exchange in place, coupled with the low mortgage rates, more people are able to afford to own their own property.”
A sales centre will be opened at Dalefield shortly, and a show home will be opened to the public before the end of the year.
Meanwhile two new marketing suites have opened in Ebbsfleet Garden City this week as the pace of housing development continues in the area.
Countryside has opened its marketing suite on the corner of Springhead Parkway at its Springhead Park development, selling the first of its two bedroom coach houses as well as 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes.
And Charles Church has also opened its marketing suite and show home in Castle Hill, offering a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes.
That means, along with the Redrow marketing suite at Ebbsfleet Green which opened at the end of summer, three major housebuilders are now actively selling homes in the Garden City.
Also in North Kent, Dartford has continued to prove its reputation as the fastest place to sell a house in Britain as a new development of un-built houses has already sold out.
Following unprecedented demand for its Phoenix Quarter development last October, of 35 family houses and 60 flats next to Dartford station, Hyde New Homes has launched new homes through Shared Ownership.
Hyde’s new Darent Place development will comprise 41 two and three bedroom homes and sits on disused land between Dartford’s Central Road, Dunlop Close and Wellcome Avenue. The development is already 100% reserved with prices starting at £78,000 based on a 40% share of a full market value of £195,000.
