Businesses looking for new office accommodation can now choose Salomons Estate near Tunbridge Wells after owners Markerstudy Leisure created 12 new serviced offices.
Small businesses can relocate to the Grade 2 listed Victorian country manor on short-term six to 12 month leases, with all-inclusive rents covering business rates, WiFi, service charge, heating and electricity.
Andrew Daniells, Chief Operating Officer of Markerstudy Leisure, said: “Many small businesses in the town have been hit by landlords converting office space back to residential. We wanted to do our bit to ensure companies can remain local.
“Businesses will have access to the grounds, a staffed reception to welcome their guests, and ample free parking.”
A number of office buildings in and around Tunbridge Wells are to be converted for residential use under the Government’s planning regulations. The largest single loss of office space has been Calverley House, the former NPI offices and currently serviced office accommodation for 60 small businesses, which is to be converted to 114 flats.
The 12 offices at Salomons provide a total of 2,145ft2 of accommodation, with the largest single office offering 330ft2 of space.
