The £25 million Anglesea Capital-funded project includes approximately 1,750sq m of office space, aimed at expanding businesses in Kent and Medway, as well as attracting companies from outside the area.
The distribution unit will include a 15m internal height, 50m service yard, 24 loading doors and 236 car spaces. it will also include sustainability features such as electric car charging, solar thermal and rainwater harvesting.
Charles Crossland, managing director of Goodman, said: “We are excited about the potential for a new industrial distribution unit at Kingsnorth. It is a site primed and ready for development with a turnaround time of just six to nine months to build a fully operational logistics centre.
“Due to the strategic location and a quality Goodman product we are confident that we will experience strong customer interest.”
If planning permission is granted, work is expected on-site in the spring.
