Furley Page to sponsor Centenary Conference of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators

Law firm Furley Page has announced that it is sponsoring the Centenary Conference of the South East Branch of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), which is being held on 18 September 2015 at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge.

The use of arbitration to resolve disputes has never been more relevant following the government’s decision to make dramatic increases in court fees. For example, it can now cost up to £10,000 in fees to issue a claim in the civil courts.

There are a number of arbitration schemes which have rules that are specially designed to fit with different types of activity. These are particularly useful in the construction field and where there may be cross-border contracts. However arbitration schemes can be used in many other areas and often provide a speedier and more cost-effective way of resolving differences than going to court.

If you would like to know more about the event and how to book a place at the conference, please see the flyer below from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators or contact Gerard Garcia of CIArb on  07976  870507 | g.garcia@genesa.co.uk.
