5th June 2019
From artificial intelligence in robotics to cyber security and big data, the University of Kent is showcasing the latest developments in machine learning at a free event on Thursday 20 June 2019.
Machine Learning or AI, is changing how we work —from intelligent supply chains, to product-as-a-service offerings, to factories of the future—and providing the catalyst for new business models, products, services and experiences.
The event will be a mixture of presentations and discussion from businesses and experts from three different schools at the University: The School of Engineering & Digital Arts, The School of Computing and The School of Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science.
Microsoft’s research shows that those already using AI are delivering a 5% improvement on factors like productivity, performance and business outcomes compared to those that are not. (Michael Wignall, Microsoft UK’s technology expert, The Manufacturer 24 April, 2019.)
The event will share insights into the analysis and interpretation of complex data and data patterns for a variety of applications and reflect on how Machine Learning can be applied to the business sector as well as offering an opportunity to network with others who have an interest in this area.
It takes place on 20 June 2019 from 13.30 to 17.00 in Lecture Theatre 1 in the award-winning, Sibson building on the University of Kent Canterbury Campus and will include a networking break with refreshments.
